WEDNESDAY: EPA to Join Kentucky Infrastructure Authority to Announce Nearly $1 Million in Recovery Act Funds for Drinking Water Infrastructure in Mayfield
 
 
(ATLANTA – Oct. 20, 2009) On Wednesday, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Kentucky Energy and Environment Cabinet will join the Kentucky Infrastructure Authority to announce $975,000 in funding from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 to the city of Mayfield, Ky., to help create green jobs, boost local economies, improve aging water infrastructure and protect human health and the environment.
 
President Obama signed the ARRA on Feb. 17, 2009, and has directed that the Recovery Act be implemented with unprecedented transparency and accountability. To that end, the American people can see how every dollar is being invested at Recovery.gov.
