Foes of hog farms win in Franklin Circuit
Monday, November 16, 2009 8:05 pm Judge Phillip Shepherd sent nine hog farm permits issued in Fulton, Hickman and Carlisle Counties back to the Energy & Environment Cabinet today to reconsider the permits issued to the farms.
The Court also ruled that Tosh Farms should have been named as a co-permittee. Tosh Farms supplies the hogs to the growers.
It is a victory for opponents who have been fighting the industrial sized operations in West Kentucky.
