KDP Exec. Director resigns

Charlie Moore, chairman of the Kentucky Democratic Party (KDP), announced that Kyle Cox resigned as the party's executive director effective January 1, 2010.

"Although he was only in his early thirties, Kyle brought with him a wealth of experience in political races at the local, state and national levels," said Moore. "He was especially skilled in technology–driven targeting and GOTV efforts, and we appreciated his talents as we expanded the use of technology in our campaigns and party operations. We wish him well."

Kyle expressed appreciation for his time at KDP saying, "It has been an absolute privilege to serve with you, and I will forever cherish the memories of the Kentucky Democratic Party and our well-fought battles together in the political trenches. We have much to be proud of and I will take away from this experience a renewed hope in democracy, the political process, and our Democratic Party."

Sherman A. Brown, currently the KDP Finance Director, will serve as interim excecutive director of the party.
