The missing Tennessee man was found in deep woods.

Emergency crews were called out on Wednesday, July 21^st, to locate a missing Tennessee man. According to his wife, the couple was driving on the parkway when her husband got out of the vehicle, walked into the corn field and continued into the woods. The wife was in contact with him via cell phone until he refused to answer her call. The patient has a past medical history of depression.

The South Fulton Police Department received the call and responded to the scene. At 5:35 PM they requested assistance from the Fulton Police Department (FPD) and the Twin City Ambulance Service (TCAS) to search for the patient. Additional units responded from the Fulton and South Fulton Fire Departments, the Obion County Sheriff’s Department (OCSO) and the Obion County Rescue Squad. (OCRS) 

After approximately three hours of searching on foot and with four wheelers provided by the OCRS, personnel from the TCAS, FPD and the OCSO located the patient. He was conscious and alert but suffered from unstable vital signs.  The patient was assisted out of the woods and to the edge of the cornfield by walking and riding a four wheeler. He was met by the TCAS 4 wheel drive pick up truck and transported across the corn field to the waiting EMS unit. The patient was transported to Parkway Regional Hospital.
