Commerce Cabinet Announces Two Appointments

Frankfort, Ky. - Commerce Cabinet Secretary Marcheta Sparrow announced two appointments today to the Kentucky Commerce Cabinet. David N. Lovelace and Gil Lawson take on new positions.

David N. Lovelace of Frankfort will be the cabinet's executive director of the Office of Intergovernmental Affairs and will work on legislative issues. Lovelace is a veteran of state government and previously served as deputy secretary of the Tourism Development Cabinet, commissioner of the Department of Economic Development and has held various positions in the Governor's Office.

Gil Lawson of Frankfort will be the cabinet's communications director. Lawson previously served as the public information officer for the Department of Parks and has held other communications positions in state government. Lawson worked as a reporter for the State Journal in Frankfort, The Associated Press and The Courier-Journal
