Kentucky Office of Homeland Security Applications


FRANKFORT, Ky. (April 23, 2008) – The Kentucky Office of Homeland Security (KOHS) today announced a call for applications for peer reviewers for the 2008 Homeland Security grant process.



KOHS seeks a diverse group of reviewers. Individuals with experience in law enforcement, fire fighting, emergency management, and emergency medical services, as well as lay persons with no experience in first response are encouraged to apply.



The week-long review will begin on Monday, July 7 with a half-day training session. The rest of the week will be spent reviewing and scoring applications.



KOHS will have a block of hotel rooms for those needing overnight accommodations. Meal tickets will be provided for lunch and dinner at the Transportation Cabinet Cafeteria, and state per diem will be provided for travel and dinner.



The peer reviewer application form can be found at http://homelandsecurity.ky.gov/. The application can be submitted by mailing it to the Kentucky Office of Homeland Security at 200 Mero Street , Frankfort 40622 or by emailing it to holly.downey@ky.gov.



Applications are due May 30, 2008.
