Paducah Tilghman High School principal Art Davis received the Educator of the Year Award at the McCracken County NAACP Freedom Fund Banquet on October 31.

Mr. Davis earned undergraduate and graduate degrees at Murray State University and Southern Illinois University. He has earned Rank I and Rank II in Principal Administration. He is a Captain in the US Air Reserve.

Mr. Davis is past president of the Kentucky Association of Secondary Principals. He is a member of the Kentucky High School Athletic Association Board of Control, the Lourdes Hospital Finance and Fundraising Board, the Paducah Symphony Board, and the Paducah Human Rights Commission. He is a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church.

Mr. Davis has received the Meritorious Service Medal. He has been included in Who's Who Among Teachers, and Who's Who Among Secondary Administrators. He is a Duke of Paducah and a Kentucky Colonel.
