Graves school group tours New York, next stop: Chicago

BIG APPLE DOWN, SECOND CITY TO GO – Graves County Central Elementary teacher Renee Mabry led a group of students and parents on an Enrichment trip to New York City this fall. They toured Manhattan, Central Park, Battery Park, Grant’s Tomb, Ground Zero, Chinatown, Little Italy, Times Square, the NBC Studios, Rockefeller Center, the Cathedrals of St. Patrick’s and St. John the Divine, Fifth Avenue, Trump Tower, F.A.O. Schwarz, the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, and many other landmarks. They also made plenty of time for shopping and a Broadway show. Mabry worked with a tour guide company that makes such trips special for school groups. She said she was extremely pleased with how well things went. Now, she’s planning a trip to Chicago in June. Parents of interested Graves County Schools’ students may learn more, by writing her at renee.mabry@graves.kyschools.us.
