Some Changes at WKyP

Mary Potter

Here at the WKyP - a message from the distaff half of the team

I am back home after working in Frankfort for several months. I have some time to help out “in the kitchen” of the website and so here I am. Of course, true to my nature, I started making changes. I did consult the Editor in Chief first, of course!

We have a new email address dedicated only to your comments and feedback. editor@westkypolitics.org . The yahoo account was getting a bit crowded – okay, when I saw he had two thousand messages, I convinced him that was 1995 too many. The messages are all newsletters and really vital information that keeps us up to date. But I feared that your messages would get lost in the crowd. That’s the reason for the “dedicated line” for you to share your thoughts.

Not everyone is comfortable posting on line and as much as I enjoy reading the blogs, Ivan and I never wanted to be bluegrassreports or pageone. Sometimes the discussions on the blogs generate light and heat. More often it’s heat only. We prefer the light without the heat. That being said, the comments section will stay with each story.

I also came home and rewrote the privacy policy which came with the webpackage. In the simplest terms possible, we don’t sell you out to anyone. Become a member to comment, but don’t fear that some lurking internet advertiser is going to start sending you stuff because we gave them your name. We wouldn’t want that done to us and we won’t do it to our friends.

Y’all come see us – and bring a friend.
Mary
