STATEWIDE HONOR PERFORMANCE –  Graves County High School Choir juniors Megan Durham and Emily Duff and sophomore Hannah Latta participated in the Kentucky Music Educators' Association’s 180-member All-State Women's Choir in Louisville in mid-February. Their performance took place at the Kentucky Center for the Arts under the direction of Dr. Z. Randall Stroope, an internationally-recognized composer, conductor, and teacher from Oklahoma.

The choir performed six different pieces during the 40-minute concert including one of Dr. Stroope's own works, "Revelations," widely considered to be an exciting and emotional piece of music. "The choir received two standing ovations during the performance from a packed house including one ovation for the work ‘Revelations’ alone,” said GCHS Choir director Jacob Hein. “It was evident to everyone in attendance that these young ladies had worked incredibly hard and their hard work was rewarded with a performance that they and the audience will never forget."
