Zach Crawford played both defensive back and running back in high school.

During his senior year, he carried the ball 164 times for 1,150 yards and caught 20 passes for 529 receiving yards, altogether scoring 16 touchdowns. In three varsity years, he totaled 309 rushing attempts for 2,320 yards, caught 25 passes for 627 receiving yards, and overall scored 28 touchdowns. “Zach has been a huge part of our success the past few years,” said coach Gregory. “His work ethic and dedication to being the best player and person he can be will serve him well at Murray State next year. He is a relentless competitor and will be a great addition to the Racer football program.” Gregory said MSU is expected to use Crawford as a slot receiver.
