Stacey Overlin has been selected as assistant principal at Paducah Tilghman High School. Overlin has taught Biology, Integrated Science, and Physics at Tilghman for the past five years.

“We are excited to welcome Mr. Overlin to our administrative staff,” said Tilghman Principal Art Davis. “He was selected after interviewing several good applicants. We believe he has the knowledge and leadership ability needed to address the changes to our curricula that will be needed in response to Senate Bill One.”

Overlin (PTHS ’87) was voted Mr. Tilghman, was a first team All-State football player, and was class salutatorian.  He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, where he played Division 1A football and club rugby. He received his Masters of Education from Xavier University in Cincinnati, and his school administrator certification from Murray State University.

During his naval service, Overlin served as an officer on a Navy destroyer. He was a veteran of Desert Storm and United Nations action in the Balkans. He was awarded the Navy Achievement Medal.

“The pride and tradition of Paducah Tilghman mean so much to our students, alumni, and our community,” said Overlin. “I am looking forward to serving as an assistant principal.”
