Three Graves County Students achieve in carpentry competion

Kobe BurnettRUNNER-UP, FIRST YEAR CARPENTRY – Graves County High School sophomore Kobe Burnett recently placed second in the SkillsUSA regional first year carpentry competition. It was held at the Skilled Craft Training Center of West Kentucky Community and Technical College on U.S. Highway 45, north of Mayfield. Burnett’s teacher at the Mayfield-Graves County Area Technology Center is Mike Miller. The ATC’s principal is Steve Arant.

FIRST YEAR CARPENTRY, THIRD PLACE – Graves County High School sophomore Zach Fulcher recently placed third in the SkillsUSA regional first year carpentry competition. West Kentucky Community and Technical College hosted the competition at its Skilled Craft Training Center, located on U.S. Highway 45, north of Mayfield. Mike Miller is the carpentry teacher and Steve Arant is the principal at the Mayfield-Graves County Area Technology Center, where Fulcher is learning his craft.

 

 

 

THIRD PLACE, CARPENTRY – Graves County High School senior Austin Dowdy recently placed third in the SkillsUSA regional carpentry competition at the Skilled Craft Training Center of West Kentucky Community and Technical College. It’s located on U.S. Highway 45, north of Mayfield. Dowdy has learned carpentry from teacher Mike Miller at the Mayfield-Graves County Area Technology Center. The ATC principal Steve Arant also has worked in and taught carpentry.
