McCracken County educator elected to KEA post

Lakilia Bedeau has been elected KEA Ethnic-Minority Director at the recent Kentucky Education Association Delegate Assembly in Louisville, Kentucky on April 2.

Lakilia has been a member of KEA for five years, serving as the Vice-Chair of the Diversity Committee, KESPA Board of Directors, is the President-elect of her local Paducah Education Support Professional Association and a recent grad of the NEA Leaders for Tomorrow program. She is Murray State University grad with a B.S. in Journalism and Masters in Mass Communication. Bedeau is a member of the Board of Directors for the Paducah Day Nursery and serves on the 4H McCracken County Extension advisory council.
