Governor’s School for the Arts provides hands-on arts opportunities for promising high school sophomores and juniors in nine different arts disciplines: Architecture, Creative Writing, Dance, Drama, Instrumental Music, Musical Theater, New Media, Visual Art and Vocal Music. The three week program is hosted by Centre College.

Over 1,800 students audition for the program each year at four sites across Kentucky. Each spring, approximately 240 students are selected for GSA, an honor which includes: full tuition, room and board to attend the school; the opportunity to learn in a supportive community of distinguished master-teachers; the chance to audition for scholarships before the nation’s top colleges and universities; and participation in the Student Performance Festival at the conclusion of the program.
