Paducah developers Ed and Meagan Musselman are bringing a dream to life. Their work continues on the old Coca-Cola building in Paducah.

Ed Musselman told the Jackson Purchase Historical Society on Saturday that they are committed to staying as close to the period as humanly possible. With the exception of electrical units, their contractor and architect has done just that. Workers have rehabilitated the ribs of the dome, repainted and restored the staircase. Musselman was happy to report that rare terrazzo floor and wall display thought to be lost had been unearthed.

Musselman announced that the first tenant in the building will be a micro-brewery. There will be room in the building for shops, a flagship restaurant and offices. Removing a newer block addition with little architectural appeal will give the building more parking. Musselman said he had already counted 200 spaces in the neighborhood surrounding the Coke building.

Coke products and building plans were available for discussion. After the presentation, members were invited to tour the historic building.
