Hickman County High School recently observed "I Love to Read" week with several fun activities designed to celebrate and promote reading.

One event that garnered the most participation was the Library Scavenger Hunt. Each day, participants were given a literary clue to solve which led them to an object in the library in which one of five letters was hidden. At the end of the week, to have their names entered into prize drawing, participants had to unscramble the letters to finish this sentence correctly: "Reading Makes You S M A R T!"

Another activity that encouraged reading was called Caught on Camera. At random times, students who were "caught on camera" reading for pleasure had their photos posted on a bulletin board and their names entered into a prize drawing.

Winners of the Caught on Camera drawing are (L to R): Chase Adams, Abby Coffey, and Hannah Crider.
