Murray State University's Tim Todd returning to deanship;

President Davies to name interim provost later this semester

MURRAY, Ky. - Murray State University President Robert O. Davies announced today that Tim Todd has requested to return to the role of dean of the Arthur J. Bauernfeind College of Business.

"I want to thank Dr. Todd for his service as the interim provost for Murray State University during the past year. Tim did a great job of serving as the chief academic officer and leading a dedicated team of deans and other leaders. Tim is a very loyal individual who works hard to support others and for that I am grateful. Tim's work on many University-wide efforts, especially in his role as co-leader during the development of our Strategic Plan, is exceptional and greatly appreciated," explained Davies. "I have great respect for Tim and support his wish to return to the deanship in the College of Business. He encapsulates the heart and soul of Murray State's vision for student success. Tim will continue to serve Murray State well and will remain an exemplary leader."

Todd stated, "Because of my love for Murray State University for over two decades, I accepted the role of interim provost at President Davies' request last summer, and I have been honored to serve this past academic year. I look forward to resuming my role as dean of the Arthur J. Bauernfeind College of Business and working with the best deans of any university in the country in helping achieve the vision of making Murray State University the University of Choice for students in our region and beyond."

Davies will appoint a new interim provost as soon as possible and Todd will continue to serve as interim provost during the transition.

Todd has served as the dean of the Arthur J. Bauernfeind College of Business at Murray State since 2006. He joined the faculty in 1995.
