Graves County High School band, choir, and orchestra students combine their talents in various combinations to present "Music in Our Schools" at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 19, in the school district's performing arts center, located adjacent to Graves High at the entrance nearest the intersection of the Purchase Parkway and Ky. Highway 121.

"This concert is designed to feature the top musical groups, including the concert and jazz bands as well as the chamber choir and orchestra, plus some smaller groups and individual performances," said band director Richard Burchett, who is coordinating the show. "One thing that makes this concert different is it showcases the extreme top of Graves County performing - mostly serious music, although some pop music, too! It's kind of a showcase presenting 'here's where the students get to once they've completed all the music and arts training they got, starting way back in preschool!'"

The PAC and ticket booth open for sales at 6 p.m. Saturday. Theater doors open at 6:30 p.m. The show starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students and children. Order tickets in advance by phoning (270) 970-3416.
