The Rally to Move Forward

Saturday, January 21, 2017

10 AM - 12 Noon

Featuring Local Speakers

(Louisville KY) Over 50 local women and men are forming a grassroots rally that will highlight local, state and federal efforts that support progress in areas of economic, social and environmental justice for all.

The event will start at 10 AM., with various speakers and music.

Jill Maurey, founder of this Rally, said: The goal is to inspire people who may be afraid, discouraged or feel powerless, especially after this recent election. We want to bring together a large and diverse gathering of people and organizations who share positive human values that transcend our differences. We want them to leave the rally with hope and ideas of how to move forward and take action.

Keith McGill, the event's MC: I want people to know that no matter what happens in the world, there is always hope. There are always resources. There is always community. There is always humanity. And this rally will illuminate all these things.

The Rally will be at the Louisville Metro Hall (6th and Jefferson). More details will be forthcoming as they become available.
