The map keeps changing. This is as of September 2, 2021

The Covid map of Kentucky keeps changing. Hospitals are full. KY-TN ambulance service that covers Fulton County sent out a message saying ambulances could be unavailable because they are sitting at hospitals with patients waiting to get in.

School has started in earnest. With lots of students and staff getting sent home to quarantine, school boards try to work around the General Assembly's rules on virtual instruction and pay for quarantined teachers.

The Delta variant is causing illness in vaccinated people - though risks of hospitalization and death are significantly decreased. Decreased - but not to zero - former Representative Brent Yonts died recently of the virus. He was fully vaccinated.

In positive news, Trigg and Carlisle were upgraded to yellow zones.

A special session is expected but what the Governor will call the General Assembly in to do remains to be seen. If Governor doesn't limit his call, then it's surf's up with the supermajority of Republicans in both Houses.
