Kentucky's positivity rate dropped below 10% in a report published October 1, 2021. Several Purchase counties have climbed out of high rate of spread to moderate - a good sign of possible easing.

Close to 8500 Kentuckians have died from the virus. 1800 Americans are still dying every day from the virus but there is reason for hope if downward trend continues.

With schools going on fall break, it is hoped that the virus won't come back when they do.
