We went to the Ballard County Democratic Pig Roast Saturday evening. We will venture to say this guy was the star of the show. Yow-zah. That was "Some Pig" to quote Charlotte's Web. (For the children - this pig was not named Wilbur!)
There were some special people guests too. We took their pictures and listened to their speeches with happy tummies.
Anita Bugg, editor of the Ballard Weekly was in the right place at the right time.
She got an interview with Speaker Jody Richards and she stayed around to sample the pig. Rep. Will Coursey from Marshall Coursey and a supporter grinning in the sunshine.
At right, realtor and Beshear classmate, Larry Kelley served as MC.
Below - Mike Lawrence spoke to a friendly crowd of between 125-150 people. Donations to the Ballard County Dems will help his campaign and other Dems in November.
