LAWRENCE CAMPAIGN SUPPORT OUTSTRIPS RIVAL IN FIRST DISTRICT HOUSE RACE

Steven Rudy reported he has total receipts of $39,925.42. This total includes $10,000 from the House Republican Caucus, $3600 in PAC receipts and $12,000 from his campaign committee.

By contrast, his opponent, Mike Lawrence has $56837.09 in the bank at the moment. He has raised over $63,185 in the primary and general election funds.

In the 2006 election, Rudy raised $26,774 to challenger Tom French’s $18391. He challenged then Rep. Charles Geveden in 2004 with $3000 less than the long serving representative from Wickliffe raised.

Lawrence is running hard and is gathering support from Democrats in the First District. The economy and lost jobs are the issues that are resonating with voters. Democrats across the district smell blood in the water and are giving to Lawrence's campaign to return a seat traditionally Democratic to the majority side of the aisle.
