Retired Courier Journal reporter pens 200th Hickman County Anniversary Proclamation

Former Courier Journal reporter, Ira Simmons, penned the proclamation commemorating the 200th anniversary of the first county of the Kentucky Jackson Purchase.

The proclamation reprinted in the story was read by Clinton City Councilman Howard Dillard and signed by Hickman County Judge Kenny Wilson and Anniversary Chair Sherry Allison.
