What I'm Reading: WSJ & Inc. Magazine

It may seem odd that a left leaning futurist is getting the Wall Street Journal in the mail every day - and reading it. I may disagree with WSJ's editorial stances, but the reporting is wide ranging and interesting. There are not many places I can read the inside story on why oil prices inexplicably jump and then plummet. The readers of WSJ are the ones with great piles of cold hard cash to win and lose as markets sway back and forth like weeping willow branches in an April wind.

It also may not seem very futurist - or ecologically friendly - to get the paper in anything but a series of electrons on a screen. We recycle the papers and my wife says that she gets great satisfaction using the bulls and bears of Wall Street as mulch.

For those who prefer electrons to litter box material, the paper is online at www.wsj.com

As far as monthly magazines, Inc., "the Magazine for Growing Companies" keeps me in touch with what entrepreneurs in the outside world are up to. Businesses like Godaddy and products like FitBit are shaping how the world communicates and takes its own vital signs.

E-Commerce is now where it's at - and Inc. has the bios of the young men and women who are innovating on the web. Inc. is also on your device at www.inc.com
