FRANKFORT – On the day after Mitch McConnell blocked Senator Elizabeth Warren’s bill to help 360,000 Kentuckians find student loan relief, the Grimes campaign is proud to announce Warren is coming to Kentucky for a series of campaign stops. This month, Sen. Warren will join Alison Lundergan Grimes for multiple events, including a meeting with local college students and recent graduates to discuss their experiences and concerns.
"Our campaign welcomes Senator Warren's support as she champions relief for Kentuckians crushed under the burden of student loan debt,” Grimes campaign manager Jonathan Hurst said Thursday. “As hardworking families across the Commonwealth struggle to make ends meet, college affordability is at the top of so many Kentuckians' minds. Unlike Mitch McConnell who votes against helping students at every turn, Alison Lundergan Grimes will stand up for every Kentuckian who dreams of obtaining a college degree."
Warren is a true champion for college affordability and has been a tireless advocate on behalf of Americans seeking access to higher education. Alison strongly supports these efforts and will work with Sen. Warren to make college more affordable for Kentuckians when she is in the U.S. Senate.
Additional details on campaign events with Sen. Warren will be forthcoming.
