Dexter is a self respecting farm dog well trained by his master, Jerry Berry, to patiently wait in the bed of the pick up truck while Jerry goes into the Kountry Cafe for breakfast. Never have we seen Dexter exhibit interest in passing cars, belligerent dogs, prowling cats or small children who go "ooh" when they see him.
Sitting in the cab and keeping him company is Halloween, the Berry's big black cat that proved impossible to photograph because he won't stay still long enough.
The secret to this Benji-like obedience is simple, says Jerry. If he doesn't stay in the truck, he doesn't get his morning sausage biscuit.
